Waterloo Carnival: still time to get involved
This year's Waterloo Carnival takes place on Fri 14 July. Its programme features the familiar parade through Waterloo, culminating in a series of events on Millennium Green. This year, however, festivities run into a second day with the Jamboree taking place on Sat 15 July.
Festivities run from 12 noon - 4pm and take place in the more spacious Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park. There is the promise of live entertainment, music, theatrical performance, arts and crafts stalls as well as a bouncy castle, barbecue and a bar.
The organisers are still asking for volunteers.
