St John's Waterloo appeals on behalf of charities which help refugees
There is a mention in December's "Column Inches", St John's Waterloo's newsletter, that Working with Citizens UK, has helped over 20 refugee families to settle in Lambeth, both by lobbying the Council and providing practical support in the form of housing, education and social activities. Over the summer of 2017, Refugees Welcome hosted events such as a picnic for refugee families and prepared homes for new arrivals. More new families will be arriving over the next few months. St John's is appealing for practical help for them in the form of donations of furniture and clothes and English tuition.
