NHS Lambeth event: "Tackling health inequalities for LGBT people in Lambeth" - Tue 20 February

Lambeth NHS Clinical Commissioning Group wants to involve the local community in its process of developing ways of tackling health inequalities for LGBT people in Lambeth.

Interested individuals and representatives of patient and resident groups are welcome to attend a free, half-day event joining other members and leaders of LGBT communities in Lambeth and colleagues from Lambeth Council, the NHS, the Metropolitan Police, the Prison Service, housing associations, schools and colleges and voluntary and community sector organisations.
It takes place on Tue 20 February at the Assembly Rooms, Lambeth Town Hall, running from 1 - 4.30pm.
Registration starts at 12.30 and lunch will be provided.
The event is part of a Lambeth project to test a ‘whole system approach’ to tackling inequalities in health for LGBT communities. It is funded by Public Health England as one of two pilots nationally. The first phase runs to March 2018.
The Lambeth pilot is focusing on two core areas:
·         Improving the visibility of trans health needs particularly in primary care
·         Mental Health and wellbeing of LGBT communities in Lambeth, particularly those from BME communities
