Lambeth's new third sector crowdfund platform: introductory workshop - Tue 27 February
Lambeth council always insists that it is constantly striving to make the borough a better place to live, work, learn and do business. One of the ways it seeks to achieve this is by providing funding to new community projects and initiatives which match the priorities identified in the Co-operative Local Investment Plans (CLIPs). Funds come from the tax that developers pay when they build new homes, offices and shops in the borough.
One of the ways in which Lambeth council will be allocating this funding is through its new Crowdfunding platform - Crowdfund Lambeth. As part of its launch, the council is holding a workshop on Tue 27 February, to which representatives from voluntary sector groups in Lambeth are all invited.
At the workshop attendees will find out more about how Crowdfund Lambeth works, the funding criteria, and will be able see if their project could be eligible for up to 25% or £1,250 of its funding target. This will be an introductory session suitable for anyone who wants to find out more about this method of fundraising and the potential uses for local projects.
The platform's champions will also talk about the match-funding available for projects in Lambeth via Crowdfunder and how it can be accessed.
