WaCoCo promotes the social and economic wellbeing of the people Waterloo by supporting the sustainability and effectiveness of local community and voluntary organisations through drawing in funding, encouraging local partnerships and networks, and increasing their voice on local issues.
Lambeth Community Programme children's technology workshop - Sat 9 December
Lambeth Community Programme is hosting a workshop, Lab Life: Making a Movement. Note: it is free to attend, but for Lambeth residents only. It will explore the subject of ‘Making a Movement’ through programming, light, movement, robotics and coding experiments.
Making a Movement will offer activities such as:
- Moving Christmas Light Boxes where you can programme Halo Light kits and sensors to bring the light box to life
- Making giant Christmas drawings which robots be coded to move around
- Creating a sleigh with motors and wheels to make sure Santa can deliver presents to homes. Also, looking at inventing a new way to ge presents to Santa
There will also be the chance to complete a Christmas challenge assault course
Lab Life: Making a Movement takes place on Saturday, 9 December at the Imagination Lab at 26 Lambeth High Street. There will be two sessions on the day: a morning session from 10am – 12.30pm, and an afternoon session from 1.30 – 4pm.
This Institute of Imagination event is aimed at children aged 3-10 years old and their parents/carers. Please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult.
